Issue:
LUEC asked staff to begin work on a strategy for carrying out the goals and policies in the Comprehensive Plan. An interdepartmental staff team has begun work on developing the City's first Implementation Strategy (Strategy), and the purpose of this agenda item is to provide LUEC members with an update and receive direction as needed on draft concepts.

Background and Analysis:
November 24, 2013, LUEC asked staff to begin work on a strategy for carrying out the goals and policies in the Comprehensive Plan. The full City Council further discussed draft concepts for the Implementation Strategy at its retreat held January 10-11, 2013.
An interdepartmental staff team has begun work on developing the City's first Implementation Strategy. Staff will provide LUEC members with an update on the development of the Strategy, including how guidance from Councilmembers is being integrated into the team's work, a proposed identity for the strategy, and an updated project timeline.
